Our Policies:
Hours of Operation: We typically work Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. I am closed on all holidays as well as every weekend unless other arrangements are discussed for rush projects. Communication outside of these times is possible, but should not be expected. I love to spent nights & weekends with my family just like everyone else. I mainly communicate through email, not by phone.
Ordering & Payment: SweetNoir accepts payment through PayPal only. There are no exceptions. Keep in mind, with PayPal, you can make a payment with a PayPal account or a credit/debit card. PayPal is free to use and is the easiest/safest online payment company. When you submit an order, I will send you an invoice within 5 business days. If I see that it is a rush project, you will receive your invoice sooner. Rush projects have additional fees, so these come first. If you do not hear from me within a week, please email me directly at jennifer@sweetnoir.com in case there was a mistake and I did not receive your initial message. As soon as your payment is received in full, I will begin your project. Please do not send e-checks! If you do this by mistake, I will NOT begin your project until it clears. This is for all projects, including RUSH projects, please pay attention while sending payment.
Blog/Website Platforms: This is for those of you who want Blog Design Work. Currently, I am only designing for Blogger platforms in the blog world. If you are using WordPress, Typepad or another platform, I can design custom pieces for your such as backgrounds, headers, buttons, etc. You will just need to install these yourself.
Web Installation: Unless discussed otherwise, upon approval of your web design or blog design, I will need access to your account to install/upload your design. I will not share your personal information, I just cannot install/upload anything without it. This is a MUST, I do not email my template or html codes to my clients.
Initial Order: Your project will not be quoted or started until I feel that I have enough information to get a good idea of what you are looking for with your design. Detail is extremely important when sending me your concepts and ideas. No one thinks alike, so you may be thinking one thing and I may take it as something completely opposite of what you are want. Neither you or I want this to happen, it is a huge waste of time and a waste of money for you as the client. Additionally, if you send in an order form with specific details such as colors, design style, etc. like I ask, and then you get your proof (proofs are final files) and change all of the colors, design style, etc. additional fees will be added to your invoice. I want to make sure you are happy with your design, but I cannot be responsible for doing more complete designs than you are purchasing. Some tweaks to design are acceptable, but these will need to be made before final proofs are created.
Changes & Revisions: Once we have sent you the initial Design proof for what ever type of project you are ordering, you are allowed a MAXIMUM of five reasonable revisions (if needed) to the design. For example, a single color, font change, content change, etc. These are NOT full layout designs, etc. Those are basically a complete re-design and additional fees will be charged. Additional revisions will incur a charge of $15 per revision depending on the complexity after the initial five are used. Revision charges also apply to installed designs. There are no revisions to be made once a design is installed without a revision charge. By the point of installation, all design changes should already have been done. After I have installed web/blog designs, revisions can be made for $25 per revision.
Technical Support: Due to the amount of projects I have going at times, it is not feasible for me to provide technical support or to “teach” my clients how to use their website suppliers site or their blog. There are tons of resources on the internet to help with such things that could probably explain it a lot easier than I can personally. If you come across something you cannot figure out, try using google. Google is the easiest way to search on the internet and you can type anything and get a response. Blogger also has a great “Blogger Help” resource that can get you started with your blog. If there is something specifically related to your design that you need help with, I will be happy to assist you as a designer, but other than that, you are responsible for learning how to use your sites.
